Serve at Camp Friendship, a summer camp for Ukrainian children and teens (ages 6-15) near Lugansk. Campers will have diverse social, economic and family backgrounds from local village children, the mining community, orphanages to upper middle class. Invitations to attend camp are distributed throughout the year to leadership at schools, churches, the mining association, police and fire departments as well as several orphanages in the district. These leaders distribute the invitations and exact ages, genders, and backgrounds of the campers are not known until registration day.
Camp Friendship is in the eastern portion of Ukraine and requires additional travel time and expenses to reach the camp. American teams lead Bible studies and recreation while building friendships with the Ukrainian campers with the goal of sharing the love of Jesus Christ. This can be a full two week mission opportunity as well as attending for one week. The Ukrainian campers attend this camp for two weeks.
